Why the RedCross? Why cycling on the Hebrides?
But first, thanks for visiting :-)

I became a volunteer for the British Red Cross last August. As for most people, my main idea of the organisation was one that does first aid and medical support. I was astonished by how much more it does!

The words 'human' and 'humane treatment' got a much deeper meaning the more I learnt about the Red Cross activities and services. I am blown away by the effort and commitment of all staff and volunteers who try to make the world a better place. So, I decided I will try to support the organisation financially as well. Apart from giving my own donation, I wanted to see if I can raise funds from friends and relatives through a sponsored challenge.

And here it is: cycling approximately 200 miles (~ 320 km) sometime during the first half of July. I have never done that much cycling in one go before, not even close... You can see the route on the photo. It is on the Outer Hebrides, west of the Scottish mainland.

If you believe my effort and the efforts of Red Cross are worthwhile, please donate!
Thank you,
Dora
